Where is Lodgen ?

Lodgen is located on the western coast of Sjælland, in the GEO Park Odsherred zone, approved by UNESCO.
The area offers more than 300 km walking paths, through iceage glacial landskape.
1 hours drive from Copenhagen, 40 min from the ferry to Jylland, 30 min to Holbæk, and just 10 min from shopping in either Fårevejle or Asnæs. It is overlooking the bay of Sejerø - Sejerøbugten - with direct view to Sjællands Odde. Some 300 meters from the private beach, and just 500 meters from paved road. Dragsholm Golfclub is located in Fårevejle, and in Havnsø there are ample possibilities for fishing trips, boat hire or ferries to the islands Nekselø and Sejerø. The local area Veddinge Bakker, is all morain terrain, with numerous viewpoints and gorgeous sights.

What to see.

Drive to Nykøbing and onwards to Rørvig - a small quaint fishing village, with red cabins and sailboats and kids fishing crabs in the harbour.
Maybe something more cultural on a cloudy day - the Anneberg Collections shows fine glass and art.
In the other direction lies the castle of Dragsholm - Dragsholm Slot - a majestic medieval castle with moat built around 1215.
A beautiful park and gourmet restaurant awaits you there. Right nearby the castle lies one of the highest viewpoints on Sealand - Vejrhøj with it´s breathtaking 121 meters above sea level - yet a fantastic view over the bay and surrounding landscape.
The local area is popular amongst artists and especially painters, as the light here, like that on Skagen, is especially bright and intense, due to the surrounding sea.
The city of Asnæs is just 5 km away, and offers both shopping, library, artgallery and trainstation.
Holbæk is 25 km away, and is a 30.000 population city. The old city of Roskilde is half way to Copenhagen, and worth a visit.
See the cathedral, the Viking ship museum or just stroll the streets.
